Dance company with cult status: AYB set to get the Capital moving this spring

At Your Beat, hailed as ‘London’s number 1 dance/ fitness classes’ by Time Out, is set to shake up London town from January 2018, with the launch of the very first At Your Beat pop-up studio. Following huge demand, the #AYBFAM will unveil a trailblazing program of brand-new classes, running every weekend from January 13th until April 2018, in their new home – the White Space, Leicester Square.

Now reaching cult status, the AYB ethos is set on increasing body confidence and individuality through dance, attracting high-pro le fans including Daisy Lowe, Naomi Shimada and Sophia Webster. Launched only last year, AYB serves up an innovative portfolio of calorie-busting, endorphin-boosting classes, designed to empower and inspire all ages and abilities – with plenty of sauce on the side!

This weekend the charismatic team of AYB instructors, led by creative director and choreographer, Joelle D’Fontaine, will open the doors to their very own studio space. Hosting a timetable of addictive classes including signature favourite FitBEAT and introducing new-for-2018 additions such as the hip-hop inspired BarreBEAT and predicted sell-out butt and abs class AYBbody: Peaches&Scream At Your Beat invites you to nd your beat!

This unique class integrates commercial dance and ballet by focussing attention on the lower body through mixing low-intensity barre workouts with various dance elements from hip-hop to disco!

What to expect: Plies, roum de jams, jumps, tendus, hip circles, various commercial dance moves and styles. Kick off your trainers for this one and get ready for strengthening your elongated limbs with dollops of that AYB sauce!


This AYB Body workout focuses on full body conditioning by targeting different muscle groups.

What to expect: Biceps curls, triceps kickbacks, squat presses, lunges, glute bridges. As this is a body conditioning class, we’ll be using mats and dumbbells and keeping with that AYB avour a HIIT section full of dance inspired tness elements!


This high-intensity full body workout consists of non-stop dance cardio combined with boxing elements and it will send your feel-good endorphins soaring!

What to expect: Jab, cross, uppercuts, hook, kicks, travelling combos, dance moves. Boxing gloves aren’t needed for this class – just energy and determination. Get ready to work that core and hand-eye coordination!

AYBbody Peaches&scream:

This AYB body workout focuses explicitly on butt and abdominal toning through dance cardio!

What to expect: Dance moves, squats, glute bridges, leg lifts, planks, sit ups. We’ll use mats and resistance bands for this cheeky workout so get ready for toning up to some right tunes!


We’ll teach you fundamental jazz steps and techniques to help you build a strong dance foundation and expand your dance repertoire. There's multiple styles of jazz to explore and we’re certain you’ll love them all.

What to expect: Learn clean lines, build a stronger core, turns, jumps, leaps. This is a great foundation class to help im- prove your dance technique and poise so let’s get full out and funky!


A calorie-burning endorphin rush. There’s no complex choreography: we teach a series of dance sequences to killer beats, and concentrate on isolated muscle groups, using HIIT (high intensity interval training).

What to expect: Dance cardio, ab workouts, butt workouts, arm workouts. A perfect way to encourage weight loss and increase your general tness levels.
